Indianapolis Movement Arts Collective is a non-profit movement arts organization dedicated to supporting and connecting the Indianapolis community through shared movement experiences – because every human can dance.

Indianapolis Movement Arts Collective relies on donations and grants to run our non-profit organization. If our mission MOVES you, join our community of supporters by donating, in any amount, today. We would be so grateful.
WHY SHOULD YOU SUPPORT IMAC?
We cultivate a non-competitive environment where people of diverse interests and backgrounds can engage with dance/movement in a safe and supported way.
We are the only place in the city that offers somatic movement practices alongside traditional dance to cultivate well being of the whole self – body, mind, and spirit.
We are a resource for Indianapolis’ artists. Through our Makers Lab program and Process/Progress Residency, we support artists and fellow arts organizations by providing them with the space and time to learn, grow, get inspired, experiment, and create new work.
We provide accessible, professional, and innovative training for artists and the community at large, taught by nationally and internationally recognized artists like: Maayan Sheinfeld (Batsheva Dance Company), Molly Brennan (Chicago physical comedian), and Jess Pretty (New York based dance artist).
We value collaboration and partner with a variety of community organizations., including: Martin Luther King Community Center, Newfields, Girls, Inc., NoExit Performance, Indy Convergence, Butler University, Ball State University, Indiana University, Bloomington, African American Arts Institue.
You'll be in good company!
We extend boundless gratitude to our generous donors and sponsors!
