The nitty gritty

The Makers Lab is an artist in residency program created by Indianapolis Movement Arts Collective in 2017. The Makers Lab serves as an incubator of ideas where early-career to more established performing artists and organizations are provided with the space and time needed to learn, grow, get inspired, experiment, and create new work. IMAC believes that diversity is important within the makeup of our residency program. The Makers Lab seeks diversity both from the work itself in terms of genre and content and in the background of the artists.

You do not need to be a resident of the Indianapolis metro area or surrounding counties to be considered for The Makers Lab but please know that IMAC is unable to provide housing or per-diem. Applications are reviewed on a rolling timeline. Applicants will be contacted no later than 3 weeks after the application is received to discuss the status.
