We must have a minimum of 4 registrations for the 4-week session in order for these mat classes to meet. If we do not meet our registration minimum by Sunday, October 4th, you will be fully refunded. Classes will take place outside on the patio at IMAC (weather permitting) and will move inside the studio at IMAC if the weather is inclement or too cold. Students should wear comfortable clothing (layers for weather changes). Items needed include: a yoga mat and water bottle, (sunscreen for outdoor practice). Students may also wish to bring a personal Flex band or magic circle, but these are not required.

STOTT PILATES® Mat Classes at IMAC with Stephanie Nugent

Over the course of this four-week session, students will be introduced to the Five Principles of STOTT PILATES and learn to employ them through the practice of STOTT PILATES foundational (with some intermediate/advanced) repertoire. Practice will begin slowly as students learn to infuse each exercises with awareness of breath, anatomical targets, and optimal postural alignment. As the series moves on, repetitions and flow will increase and students will be invited to explore more challenging modifications. Each class will include a check-in, warm-up, and material that takes clients through every plane of movement for a well-balanced workout.


For those participating in 1 class a week, you will come away with an understanding of the full foundational repertoire, to continue practicing! For those participating in 2 or more classes per week, exponential opportunities exist to deepen understanding and practice of STOTT PILATES principles and learn to enhance your practice with small props and through growing a toolbox of assisting and challenge modifications.
